Custom Retail Displays Built From Concept to Rollout

GAVI POP developed an easy update waterfall display for a flooring client that needed a more flexible way to refresh an existing display program without major redesign.
The project became a strong example of how thoughtful engineering and simple design improvements can create long-term value.
The client was in the flooring industry and needed a display solution for use in retail stores as part of a national rollout. The main challenge was cost savings. The customer wanted a display that could be updated to showcase a different amount of product without significant modifications to the original structure.
An early prototype did not function as an easy update display. After reviewing the concept with the client, the conversation shifted toward finding a way to make the display more versatile while still keeping the program practical and durable.
The program offered an opportunity to create a branded merchandising solution that would do more than simply hold product. The display needed to reinforce the brand story, organize multiple bottle sizes, and encourage impulse engagement from shoppers browsing the wine and spirits section.
Because appearance matters heavily in this category, the final concept had to balance strong shelf presence with a polished look that aligned with a premium beverage brand.
GAVI POP designed a tray system that could be removed or added with ease. This made the display much easier to retrofit and gave the client more flexibility in how products were presented over time. The solution combined simplicity and durability in a metal display structure.
The display required prototyping and revision. Once the need for greater flexibility became clear, GAVI POP reworked the concept and developed the removable tray approach. That adjustment turned the display into a more functional long-term solution for the client.
Before shipment, GAVI POP completed quality control checks on a batch of displays at the warehouse. This helped confirm that the displays were ready to move into the client’s broader program.
The project was successful and led to several production runs. The client was very satisfied with the display and appreciated the ability to update the unit without major changes. Visually, the display also supported stronger brand presentation, with the red leg tying into the Casabella logo and helping the unit stand out.
This case study shows how a relatively simple design improvement can solve a practical merchandising problem. By focusing on ease of retrofit, GAVI POP helped the client save time and money while extending the usefulness of the display program.
GAVI POP designs and manufactures custom display solutions that help brands improve visibility, strengthen presentation, and support successful retail rollouts.
